Who should do this course

The Forestry QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification is ideal for those that work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.

Course Overview 

Qualsafe Awards will shortly be migrating the Forestry First Aid +F qualification to the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The new qualification title will be the QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) and this will be available to Centres from 26th April 2018.

As well as satisfying the Forestry Commission’s strong preference for learners to undertake regulated first aid qualifications, the QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) also provides employers with added assurance relating to the suitability and competency of the training provider.

​

This short, yet informative course provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural specific environment.

Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease. Extraction - Exposure - Tourniquets - Haemostatics Blood Clotting agents- Catastrophic Bleeds - Emergency Communications -0

This qualification is intended to be delivered in conjunction with a regulated first aid qualification (minimum of 1 day) and will confirm the Learner’s abilities to meet a ‘license to practice’ as determined by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the recommendations in the First Aid at Work – Forestry Commission Policy.

What you would expect at Sussex first aid Trauma training Day.

Outdoor First aid Training taught by qualified, professionally trained instructors who have served or serve on frontline Emergency services. Training experience with Government organisations deployed to Disaster & areas of conflict including Iraq - Libya - Syria - Ukraine and others

We train to a extremely high standard and expect that standard throughout the day. This is definitely NOT a turn up and pass training day.

On arrival. A test to see what we know and what we need to learn. The A-Z of the out door course will be taught and any area that we can tailor to your industry we are happy to do so.

We have been trauma training for the last 10 years using Tourniquets which are now being recognised as an essential if you are in the Arbour sector.
